UTL feels privileged for being chosen as the BOOT Contractor for implementing the Smart Card based Driving Licence Project, by Maharashtra State Transport Department. As a part of this Project UTL will set up Smart Card Personalisation Stations in each of the 40 RTA offices in the State.
Further UTL will also be taking care of the requirements of the Check Posts, Camp Offices and Mobile Squads, involved in issue and enforcement of Driving Licences all over Maharashtra. Pilot roll out is underway in Pune and it will be replicated throughout the State in the coming few months.
The 10 year Project will see a turnover close to Rs. 200 crores.
