On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP)

The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh presented OLTP (On-Line Transaction Processing) project to its citizen.

The Online Transaction Processing system is a software system for integrated citizen services through multipurpose kiosks in the villages. The system provides LAN (Horizontal connecting) at mandal leve l- integrating 14 selected offices and WAN - vertically connecting village level Kiosks to state Head Quarters through mandal and District centers.

OLTP is a software system that allows citizens to avail various services through multipurpose computer-Kiosks in the villages. The system provides integration of 14 offices at mandal level and connecting these village Kiosks to the state headquarters through mandal and district centers.

Objectives of OLTP Pilot Project
  • To provide one stop shop for citizen services at the village level through multipurpose kiosks.

  • To enable online updation of the core data of Land and Citizens through the use of PDA's and information Kiosks at the village level.

  • Interdepartmental data sharing through horizontal and vertical integration.


  • To enable web based citizen interface for delivery of services and access to information.
  •  

  • Integrates seamlessly with the legacy systems in place already - especially the MPHS, CARD, Sub Treasury (e-Khajana), e-Cops etc.

  • Provides a cost-effective method of networking horizontally and vertically across departments and across mandal, district and state levels.
